Road Worthy is a non-profit agency serving the Greater Kansas City Community by offering discounted or free vehicle repairs for those who cannot afford it.

Description

Purpose Lack of transportation is a barrier to fundamental needs and services. We are removing this obstacle by helping people get back on the road, which will open pathways to employment, healthcare and other basic needs and services. Mike and Amy Lee Sewell founded Road Worthy in 2021. They recognized a significant need in the community to offer a car repair program that would help people have reliable transportation. When someone can’t afford to repair their car, a downward spiral can occur leading to loss of a job, lack of access to healthcare and other basic services. In addition to fixing a person's vehicle, we've had to replace vehicles not worth fixing. We are seeking car donations, running or not running.
